31 Hillhouse Avenue is the oldest home on what Charles Dickens described as “the most beautiful street in America.” Work on this three-story Second-Empire house included a full exterior and interior restoration that provided seminar facilities and office space for Yale's school for International Studies. Care was taken to preserve as many interior elements as possible, while updating the building to a modern teaching facility.
