Architectural Job Captain

We are currently looking to add a Job Captain to the architectural staff.  The available position is for applicants with 2-4 years’ experience and is for full time hours.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops schematic drawings based on sketches provided by project manager or supervisor.
  • Coordinates and manages technical development and daily progress for a given project.
  • Reviews and coordinates work being completed by project consultants under supervision of project manager.
  • Provides design and construction related documents under supervision of project manager or principal.
  • Manages work of support staff assigned to the project under supervision of the project manager.
  • Provides shop drawing review under supervision of project manager or supervisor.
  • Coordinates field survey work under supervision of project manager.
  • Participates in meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Reports to Project Manager, Associate, or Principal depending on the project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with 2-4 years’ experience working in an Architectural office or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, including use of all 3D modelling tools and 2D annotation tools. A working knowledge of AutoCAD is also important.
  • Photoshop / Adobe Creative Suite skills are a plus.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
